Professional Licensure and Certification Disclosure

Northwood Technical College offers programs that are designed to meet the educational requirements that lead to licensure or certification that may be required for employment in certain professions; these educational requirements can vary from state to state. In addition to educational requirements, some states may also require work experience, passing a national or state-administered exam, or may recognize military training. 

The table below lists by individual state/territory if the Northwood Tech program “Meets,” “Does Not Meet,” or has “Not Determined/ND”  (where no determination has been made), the educational requirements that lead to licensure/certification in these other states/territories. In the cases where no determination has been made, please contact the appropriate licensing board in that state/territory for more detailed information. 

Out-of-state students seeking to enroll in a program leading to professional licensure or certification can discuss this with a Northwood Tech counselor. It is highly recommended you also contact the state/territory in which you plan to practice to verify any state/territory requirements before beginning your program. Certain factors, such as residency, age, criminal conviction, etc. may disqualify an individual from seeking a professional licensure despite completion of an educational program.
